Spanish Validation of The Experiences in Close Relationships-Relationship Structures Questionnaire for Pre-adolescents

This study aimed to validate the Spanish version of Experiences in Close Relationships–Relationship Structures questionnaire (ECR–RS; Fraley et al., 2011). instrument measures two-dimensional structure attachment (anxiety and avoidance) different relational domains (mother, father, friends). The sample was composed 795 pre-adolescents (49.1% girls), aged 9–14 (M=12.86; SD=1.28), who were randomly selected from seven Biscayan schools. participants completed attachment, prosocial behavior, emotional behavioral problems, difficulties regulation. confirmatory factor analysis indicated that adaptation ECR–RS supported original two-factor invariant across genders. Both dimensions positively associated with regulation, negatively correlated behavior. Gender differences found friends, mother, global measures, which boys scored higher than girls anxiety avoidance. demonstrated for is a reliable valid measure avoidance
